Kneehill Ambulance Service is located in central Alberta, and service the communities of Three Hills, Torrington, Trochu, Linden, Acme, Carbon and the County of Kneehill. Our ambulances are based out of two stations, one in Three Hills, and the other in Linden. The Kneehill Ambulance Society was formed in 1971, with the formation of a volunteer ambulance service based in the village of Linden, in 1988 a second ambulance was added and based in Three Hills, improving coverage to the northern portion of Kneehill County. Kneehill Ambulance currently operates 3 front line ambulances, one based in Linden, and two in Three Hills. We also have two rapid response supervisor units. Three Hills runs one Advanced Life Support unit and a Dedicated Transfer unit at the Basic Life Support level. Linden staffs one Advanced Life Support unit. Kneehill Ambulance has recently started a community access project to provide a van equipped with a stretcher and easy access seating for members of the community that need assistance but not an ambulance to get to their medical appointments. The van will be delivered and become operational later this summer. E-TAK Emergency Training Academy Kneehill, is a division of Kneehill Ambulance and provides first aid and safety training to the community. (see our First Aid Courses page) |
